Plan & Prep

Planning, anticipating and preparing for your boudoir photo shoot is half the fun! Once you have paid your retainer and signed the contract let the prep begin!

  • Fingernails and toenails should be groomed and looking clean. Neutral tones are always a great choice.

  • The best self tanner is St. Moriz and most affordable. You can find it at Ulta for $10. Make sure to purchase the application glove!! When you’re home, use a glove and rub it on generously the night before your session. Sleep in a long sleeve and sweat pants. This stuff does not smell pretty, but the results are awesome! The next morning rinse off in the shower for perfect results!

  • If you have clip-in extensions, bring them!

  • Make sure your eyebrows are groomed.

  • If you wax, do so a few days before your shoot to avoid any bumpiness or redness.

  • Try on your outfits and lingerie to make sure they fit properly. Nobody cares if the underwear are a small or large, if it's too small, it shows! So cut the tag out and forget about it!

  • Plan a fun night out afterwards with your girlfriends or partner. You're going to look like a boudoir babe!

Take some time before your shoot to practice your facial expressions in the mirror (RBF is not what were going for on the day of your session!) I will be coaching you throughout the shoot to make sure you have the perfect expressions, but a little practice is always a good idea!

The day of

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing to the shoot; clothes that bind will leave marks. Yoga pants and a tank with a hoodie is great. Put these on as early as you can because red marks can take hours to disappear. If you can go without a bra and underwear that is ideal, just remember to bring something to wear after the shoot!

  • Arrive with clean and moisturized skin. No makeup please.

  • Be sure to eat something with protein before your session to keep your energy up for the session.
